RESERVATION POLCIES, TERMS, & CONDITIONS

TO GUARANTEE RESERVATION
100% Deposit required to confirm reservation. We do not "hold" reservations. You will receive written confirmation.

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED.

PHOTO ID and CREDIT CARD
The SAME CREDIT CARD used to make the reservation and Government Issued PHOTO ID (e.g. Driver's License or Passport) are required at Check-In or reservation is INVALID and NON-REFUNDABLE.  A credit card and relative information will be taken for every reservation regardless of method of payment e.g. Gift Certificate , Cash etc.

DISCOUNTS
Only one discount will apply to any one reservation and must be taken at the time the reservation is made- not after.

GIFT CERTIFICATES/ COUPONS ETC.
Must call to book reservations if using any of these: Gift Certificates, Charitable Donation Certificates, Coupons etc. and indicate to staff at that time that you will be applying them to your reservation. They cannot be applied once the reservation is made. They cannot be redeemed for cash, are non-transferable, and MUST be presented at Check-In to be redeemed.

CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIME
No Early Check-Ins or Late Check-Outs / No Exceptions
Check-In 3:00-5:00 P.M./PST (Pacific Standard Time).
Check-Out: 11:00 A.M./PST

LATE ARRIVALS
Check-In is between 3:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M./PST. If arriving later than 7:00 P.M./PST, it is your responsibility to call the Inn and make arrangements before 7:00 P.M./PST . Our front desk closes promptly at 7:00 P.M./PST. If arriving later than 8:00P.M. /PST, check-in fees may apply. It is advisable to indicate your arrival time at the time of making your reservation to facilitate the check-in process.

SPECIAL ASSISTANCE
Second floor accommodations are accessible via stairs- NO ELEVATOR available on premises.

ADULT ONLY ESTABLISHMENT / MAXIMUM OF 2 per ROOM
- We are are an "ADULT ONLY" establishment not appropriate or equipped to accommodate children under the age of 15. NO EXCEPTION.

Only 2 persons/room- NO EXCEPTION. If arriving with children 15 and over constitutes a 3rd person in a room, either 2 rooms must be booked to be in compliance with our policy, or if not possible the reservation will be cancelled with a cancellation fee of one night's stay or 30% of entire stay, whichever is greater.

EXCESSIVE NOISE OR DISTURBANCES
Guests generating excessive noise or bothering other guests will be asked to leave the Inn immediately without a refund.

100% SMOKE FREE INN
Smoking, or the use of Candles and Incense are not allowed in guest rooms or on patios or decks by law and for insurance and security reasons. If violated, a fine of $250 will be charged to Guest Credit Card and guest will be required to leave immediately without a refund. Additional fines and cost of damages could apply.

DIETARY RESTRICTIONS
Regrettably ​our kitchen is unable to accommodate dietary restrictions at this time. But our three-course breakfast that consists of 1st course buffet of granola, yogurt and milk, toasting station with jams, butter, cream cheese, and hard boiled eggs; 2nd course of a sweet or savory entree- chef selection - along with a side of ham, bacon, or sausage; and a 3rd course breakfast dessert, provides ample selection to meet most dietary needs.

OUR STAFF AND FRONT DESK DO NOT ACCEPT PACKAGES unless guest is available on-site to sign for their package.

NO ELEVEATORS ON PREMISES

DAMAGES
Guests are responsible for excessive cleaning, damages, or breakage of the Inn's Property for which a minimum of $200.00 will be applied to Guest's credit card. If damages etc. exceed $200.00, expenses will be based on replacement costs, plus any lost income and charged to Guest's credit card. 

LIMITED, RESTRICTED FREE PARKING
 Limited on-site parking (4 spaces) is first come, first served, and is limited to compact cars ONLY. No reservations for parking are available. Spaces are not sized to accommodate Trucks, Vans, or SUVs. There is on-street parking in front of the Inn with a 2 hour limit between 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Overnight and all day Sunday parking has unlimited time. There is also unlimited time parking on streets adjacent to the Inn. Please inquire about additional parking information/options available at the front desk upon your arrival.

USING GIFT CERTIFICATES, VALUE COUPONS ETC.
Gift Certificates, Charitable Donation Certificates, etc. cannot be redeemed for cash and are non-transferable.
Must indicate at the time you make the reservation if you will be using a Gift Certificate, Charitable Donation Certificate, Coupon, etc. Credit will not be applied once the Reservation is made. Discounts do not apply if using them to make a reservation.

ONLINE RESERVATION & THIRD-PARTY BOOKING AGENTS/OTAs (e.g. BOOKING.COM)
We recommend that you reserve with us to receive the best rate, but you may use third-party agents. The cancellation policy established with the OTA is one that is  NON-REFUNDABLE.

RESERVATION MODIFICATIONS
Other than adding room nights - are subject to a $50 or 3% Modification Fee ( which ever is greater.)


 


CANCELLATION

TRAVEL INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED.

Section 1:
NON-REFUNDABLE RESERVATIONS ARE:

- No Shows and Early Departures.
- Reservations made over Holidays, Special Events and their Minimal Night Stay Requirements.
- High Season - June, July, August, & September.
- Discounted Reservations, Specials, Reservations made using Value Coupons, and Gift Certificates other than those issued by us.
- Reservations that include Packages or Add-Ons.
- Reservations made through OTAs ( Online Travel Agencies- such as Expedia and Booking.com).


Section 2:
WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE "NON-REFUNDABLE" RESERVATIONS STATED SECTION 1 ABOVE:
in order to receive a refund less a cancellation processing fee of $50.00 or 3% of total stay (whichever is greater) for Reservations that qualify as "refundable", you must give notice prior to arrival dates as indicated below:
-Total of 1 room night requires 14 day prior notice 
-Total of 2-4 room nights require 30 day prior notice
-Total of 5-7 room nights require 90 day prior notice 
-Total of 8-10 room nights require 180 day prior notice 
-Extended stays totaling 11 or more room nights require a
contract. Call for details. 

CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION
Must be by FAX or EMAIL ONLY! It is your responsibility to call and confirm that your cancellation email/fax has been received. We do not accept telephone cancellations. If you do not receive a cancellation confirmation email within 24 hours, please call to make sure we received your request.

CANCELLATION POLICY FOR OTAs &  THIRD-PARTY BOOKING AGENTS (e.g. BOOKING.COM) 
Should you need to cancel your reservation , you must go back through the third-party booking website. And reservations made through third-party websites are NON-REFUNDABLE. 

A reservation with The Bed & Breakfast Inn at La Jolla constitutes an authorized reservation and the fact that you have read and agreed to our Policies, Terms, and Conditions and that you have authorized us to charge your Credit Card to guarantee the reservation. Thank you.
